How to Make Your iPhone Screen Even Darker

Are you the same as me? Who intensely dislikes phone screens that are too bright? Anytime the phone screen is too vibrant, my eyes get dry and tired. It seems like dark mode is insufficient, too, especially at night, and even if I set my brightness slider to the lowest setting, it is still uncomfortable.

If your answer is yes, then this helpful guide is for you!

Here’s a quick guide on how to make your iPhone‘s screen darker, even if your brightness is set to the very lowest setting.

Go to your iPhone’s Settings application.

1 1Scroll a little until your find the Accessibility option.

first 1In the Vision category, you can see Display & Text Size option.

second 14There are lots of customizable options to see here too! However, to make your phone screen even darker, you must scroll down and look for Reduce White Point, which can be found at the bottom of the options.

Once you see it, you can turn it on, and a slider will appear just below this option. This slider is a good idea since you can adjust how did you want your screen to look.

The slider can range from 25% up to 100%.

You can always change it back and turn it off anytime.

Always remember that reducing your screen’s brightness has advantages and disadvantages. It might help you relieve eye strains and eye dryness; however, too much dark screen can still strain your eyes since the sharpness of your vision can be compromised this way, where details are harder to see clearly. It may also lower reading comprehension and focus.

Therefore, adjusting your screen brightness even lower is still at your discretion.
