Design

The Samsung Galaxy A05s, realme C53, and Redmi 12 have aesthetics that are unique to their design. The Galaxy A05s opted for a refined build and finish, while the realme C53 incorporated a golden silk gradient coating at the back to produce a golden texture effect on its Champion Gold colorway. Meanwhile, the Redmi 12 featured a glass back design.

In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy A05s measures 168 x 77.8 x 8.8 mm and weighs 194 grams, the realme C53 comes in 167.3 x 76.7 x 7.5 mm and weighs 194 grams, and the Redmi 12 measuring 168.60 x 76.28 x 8.17 mm and weighing 198.5 grams.

Based on their measurements, the realme C53 is the thinnest having only a thickness of 7.5mm.

Display

In terms of their displays, they do not make a difference in terms of size and display technology, but the Redmi 12 sits at the top with 6.79 inches and has an FHD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution as well as a 90Hz display. The Samsung Galaxy A05s lacked a higher refresh rate, while the realme 53 lacked pixel resolution size with only HD+ (1080 x 2400).

Additionally, regarding display aesthetics, the Redmi 12 has a punch-hole cutout display setup, which is more ‘trendy’ and advanced than the teardrop notch of the other two.

Performance

Moving to the performance stage, the Samsung Galaxy A05s runs on Android 13 and is powered by the 2.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G 6nm octa-core processor with Adreno 610 GPU. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage (expandable via microSD).

Meanwhile, the realme C53 is being operated by Android 13 OS with Realme UI on top. Under the hood, it is powered by the 1.82GHz Unisoc Tiger T612 12nm 8-core chipset with ARM Mali-G57 GPU. Accompanying it is a combination of 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB internal memory (expandable up to 2TB).

Lastly, the Redmi 12 packs an Android 13 OS with MIUI 14 on top. Powering it is the 2.0GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core SoC with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Its RAM can go up to 8GB LPDDR4X, while the 256GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage is expandable up to 1TB.

The internal storage of these smartphones can be expanded, which is good. In terms of chipset lithography, the Galaxy A05s stand out with its 6nm Snapdragon 680 processor. RAM and storage configuration varies depending on the price.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A05s, realme C53, and Redmi 12 have camera distinct configurations that may vary depending on the user’s preferences.

The Galaxy A05s sports a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with AF, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth lens. The rear camera records videos up to 60fps with 1080p resolution. Upfront is a 13MP selfie camera.

The realme C53, on the other hand, comes with a dual-rear camera configuration, including a 50MP main lens that can shoot up to 1080p videos @30fps and a 0.8MP secondary shooter. At the front is an 8MP selfie camera capable of recording up to 720p videos @30fps.

This still depends on how you use the cameras or depending on your needs.
