Manila Shaker has started as a website that covers anything that’s trending, interesting, and within the scope of technology and life in the Philippines. From a dozen page views a day on our Youtube channel and website to several thousands of unique visitors and subscribers daily today–just after a few months.

We’re not stopping there as we are continuing to improve, grow, and keep moving forward. And this is your chance to be part of the Manila Shaker team that has helped established the name in both offline and online world.

Manila Shaker is looking for two individuals that are passionate and knowledgeable about technology and have the skills for writing and/or video and graphics editing at the same time. There are two positions that are open, please find the requirements below.

Important things to know

• Applications are currently open to people based in the Philippines
• 18 yrs & older for the Junior Contributor, full time or part time
• 18 yrs & older or at least college graduate for the Video Editor/Producer
• Equipment will be provided if necessary (DSLR, laptop, gears, etc.)
• Online job means you don’t need to commute daily and work in an 8-5PM environment
• Has basic voice over experience is an advantage
• Flexible in compensation and time

Positions

Junior Contributor

• Ideally has experienced in writing
• Fluent in English writing and/or speaking
• Responsible for creating featured articles or editorials and news
• Knowledgeable about mobile and technology
• Will be under supervision of the Editor-in-Chief
• Visit media events abroad and locally, representing Manila Shaker
• Have initiatives to do the tasks without waiting for job orders
• Above all, he/she should be passionate in the online field and willing to learn

Video Editor or Producer

• Responsible for shooting, editing and producing video reviews
• Basic animations skills is optional
• Have worked with video editing software in any of the ff.: Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premier or After Effects
• Basic skills in Photoshop is a must
• Visit and cover media events abroad and locally along with the editors
• Must be able to keep up with the schedule or pipeline of loads
• Above all, he/she should be passionate in the online field and willing to learn
