
YouTube users have recently raised concerns about encountering unusually long ads—and when we say long ads, we’re talking about some lasting three hours or more.
Screenshots shared on Reddit show ads that are longer than the videos users are trying to watch.
Some users reported that the “Skip Ad” button was either missing or not functioning as expected.

As we all know, the company has emphasized that ads help support content creators and that using ad blockers violates its Terms of Service.
Because of this, the platform has stated that these lengthy ads are primarily targeted at users who employ ad blockers. So, if you’re using one, watch out for longer ads.
On the other hand, regular users still have the option to skip ads after 15 seconds.
YouTube acknowledged that this is not a glitch but rather a deliberate measure. Longer ads are specifically aimed at users with ad blockers as part of a broader strategy to reduce ad evasion.
Last year, users of AdBlock have recently reported issues on YouTube, suspecting the platform to be the cause.
