The Oppo Reno series has gained a reputation for its versatile cameras and reasonable pricing. The latest addition, the Oppo Reno 11F 5G, continues this tradition with a triple camera setup, an impressive display, and decent battery life. Here is our in-depth review of the Oppo Reno 11F 5G, covering its performance in key areas.

Design & Build

The Oppo Reno 11F 5G impresses with its sleek design. It features a matte texture with a glossy finish on the back and a compact, lightweight build (177g). The device is comfortable to hold without a case due to its thin and rounded edges. Though it’s made entirely of plastic, it feels and looks premium.

The power button and volume rockers are conveniently located on the right side, while the SIM tray is on the left, and the bottom houses a microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille.

Display

The Reno 11F 5G boasts a 6.7″ FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. The display offers vibrant and sharp colors, deep blacks, and thin bezels for an immersive viewing experience.

The flat design of the display is preferred over curved edges, making navigation smoother. However, the punch-hole cutout placement could be better positioned, as it can be distracting during use.

Camera

The device features a triple camera setup, including a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro, along with a 32MP selfie camera. The 64MP main camera delivers sharp, vibrant images with wide dynamic range and balanced exposures, particularly in daylight.

Low-light shots are decent but may exhibit blurs and slight grain.

By default, the 32MP selfie camera applies beautification filters, so if you prefer a more natural look, be sure to disable them. In terms of quality, the selfie camera delivers high-quality images with clear facial features and accurate skin tones. Portrait mode performs well, offering strong separation between the subject and the background for an appealing visual effect.

The most notable cameras on the Oppo Reno 11F 5G are its 64MP main camera and 32MP selfie shooter. Given the phone’s price point, the inclusion of the 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras seems unnecessary. Oppo could have prioritized a higher megapixel ultrawide camera instead of including the additional 2MP macro lens.

Performance & Benchmarks

The OPPO Reno 11F 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip, the same one found in last year’s Reno 10. The model we tested comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded by an additional 8GB through RAM expansion and up to 2TB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 14 with the ColorOS 14 skin, which offers a range of customization options and features.

Out of the box, the phone includes numerous pre-installed applications, but these can be easily uninstalled if they’re taking up too much space.

One notable addition in the recent ColorOS update is the AI eraser in the gallery, which allows users to remove unwanted elements from their photos. While it’s not perfect and can sometimes result in smudges, it’s a handy tool for small corrections. To use it, select a photo to edit, click “edit” underneath the photo, and choose AI eraser. From there, you can use Smart Lasso or paint over the unwanted item.

While the Reno 11F 5G may not offer the best chipset for its price, it performs well in daily tasks without significant issues. It can experience minor stuttering under heavy loads, but overall, it is a reliable device for everyday use.

The Oppo Reno 11F 5G can handle casual games well, but it struggles with more graphically intensive titles. A positive aspect is that the device maintains a low temperature while running demanding games such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

Here are some of its benchmark results.

Battery

The Oppo Reno 11F 5G is equipped with a 5000mAh battery paired with 67W SuperVOOC charging. Casual users can expect the battery to last a full day, while heavy users may find it lasts about 7 hours. In a video loop test, the battery lasted approximately 21 hours and 12 minutes. Charging from 0 to 100% took about 57 minutes.

Overall, the Oppo Reno 11F 5G is a strong midrange option. Priced at PHP18,999, it offers a premium aesthetic, satisfactory performance, and good battery life, making it a worthwhile purchase. While it may not excel in gaming, it serves as a capable and efficient device. Although other smartphones may provide more features at a similar price point, the Oppo Reno 11F 5G remains a solid choice for Oppo enthusiasts.
