Gundam Breaker Mobile Shuts Down This Year

A recent announcement from Bandai Namco Entertainment was released stating that on June 2023, the popular mobile game Gundam Breaker Mobile will be shutting down. The mobile game’s Android and iOS versions will shut down globally on the said date.

The company announced its shut down on the official Twitter account of the game. They stated their regret of ceasing its operation and said that the game will be up until June 4, 2023, 6:00 PM (PDT). A link is also provided directing the mobile game’s official website, stating similar message from their Twitter account. 

Originally known as Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare, the mobile game was first launched in Japan and followed up with an international release in July 30, 2019. Gundam Breaker Mobile is a mobile version from the PS3 and PSVita game that caters to Gundam Platic Model (Gunpla). This features various Gundam mobile battle suits across the Gundam franchise.

Recently, players also noticed that the in game currency purchase Haro Chips has already been disabled. But users still can use items in game before the who service shuts down. As for the reasons behind its cease of activity, Bandai Namco didn’t disclose any. For those interested to jump into the game, you can still enter and enjoy the game for free until June 4.

Despite lack of information on the cause, rumors have been circulating on why it would cease its operation. These reasons point to decline of users and revenue. Then again, another rumor is spreading that Bandai Namco Entertainment is expecting to save its 6v6 shooter game for PC and consoles, Gundam Revolution. Lately, its eSports performance have show poor reception and is experiencing difficulty in performance.
