LeEco Might Be Returning in the Smartphone Industry

LeEco or also known as LeTV seems to be hinting at a return in the smartphone industry. In a recent LeTV Smart Ecological Conference which was held in China, the company teased a new smartphone that will have the moniker “LeTV Super Phone”.

This will feature a similar bezel-less design which is found in recent smartphones today. It will also be sporting a curved display that parallels that of the OEMs in Samsung or Huawei. However, details are still scarce on what it would be packing under the hood and other specs.

Back in 2016, LeEco participated in the CES 2016. Qualcomm announced in the event that LeTV will be the first company to release a phone powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is the unreleased LeTV Le Max Pro.

Apparently, due to tons of projects at hand, the company lost a lot of money and hasn’t recovered yet, which prompted them to leave the smartphone industry in 2017. The company still launched some of its products like the LeTV Zero65Pro ultra-slim TV.

As of now, the specs for its new smartphone have not yet been disclosed. If this would be launched, LeEco might play it safe as of the moment and, like its other IPs, it would launch only in China.
