Panasonic has recently launched its newest product! This is the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK S1 and it offers awesome features.
As you can see, this will be sporting a 7-inch screen which offers 1280 x 800 resolution and a brightness level of 500nits. This tablet will feature glove mode, which is commonly found in this kind of mobile device. Also, it will come with Rain Mode as it can detect raindrops on the screen and would ignore it while using it.
One great feature the TOUGHBOOK S1 has is its rTablet emovable battery or warm-swappable battery. You can remove the tablet’s battery and still use it as there is a built-in one that will help power up your device for a short while. Panasonic is preparing to sell batteries with different capacities which you can decide on what you need the most.
Also, this device is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor that comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can also be expanded with the help of a dedicated slot. There will be a barcode scanner, a full-sized USB-A port, and a USB-C port. When it comes to ratings and certifications, it has is IP65/67 rated and MIL-STD-810H certified. It can also survive 5 feet drop so you don’t have to worry when you accidentally drop it.
There will be two versions for the TOUGHBOOK S1; a Wi-Fi version and an LTE version which is supported by AT&T’s FirstNet Band 14 which is designed for first responders.
This device will use an Android 10 OS in the box and will soon be getting an Android 12 update. Unfortunately, you can’t find this tablet in any stores as this would be an enterprise device. Reports say that the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK S1’s base model will cost at $2,499 (₱119,560 est.).
