It comes in two eye-catching color variants: the vibrant Agate Green and the dazzling Gleaming Orange, perfect for those who love flaunting their phones.

Display

Turning to its display, the vivo Y28 boasts a 6.68 inches HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, certified by TUV Rheinland and it has a peak brightness of 1000nits. Despite it not having an FHD+ display, it still manages to deliver crisp and decent colors on its display quality.

It is also responsive thanks to the fast refresh rate and you also won’t have that much of a problem when using the device outdoors.

We’ve been using this device for a couple of days now and so far when it comes to multimedia consumption the display delivers exceptional results. There are some occasional stutters when navigating its display but we rarely encounter it. Most of the time it happens when multiple applications are running in the background.

Regardless of that, the display is decent however, for some, this won’t be enough since nowadays most devices offer an FHD+ display with the same price tag.

Cameras

Moving on to cameras, the vivo Y28 features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main shooter and a 2MP bokeh sensor, along with an 8MP selfie camera.

The 50MP main camera impresses with vibrant colors, sharp details, and good dynamic range, ideal for social media posts.

In low-light conditions, it maintains decent color accuracy but may introduce slight noise in darker areas.

Now onto the selfie camera, to achieve more accurate skin tones in your selfies, try turning off the beautification mode, as it can sometimes cause images to look pale. For natural colors and finer details, keeping the beautification mode off is the best choice.

For video recording, both front and rear cameras support up to 1080P@30FPS, providing satisfactory video quality for everyday use.

Performance

Under the hood, the vivo Y28 runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It handles multitasking smoothly, whether you’re browsing or gaming, though a higher display resolution would enhance the gaming experience further.

You can expand your RAM up to another 8GB however you don’t have the option to choose a lower RAM expansion. It can handle multitasking with ease and can assist you in your day-to-day activities whether it’s browsing on social media or gaming.

We tried some games too! However, the gaming experience could benefit from a higher display resolution to enhance visual clarity and detail. Despite this, the device strikes a balance between affordability and gaming capability, making it a viable option for mobile gamers on a budget.

Here are some of its benchmark results.
