Nokia Introduces IPAA Solution for Globe

Nokia, a company that makes telecom networks, recently said that Globe Telecom will use its cutting-edge, flexible Interleaved Passive Active Antenna (IPAA+) system across the southern islands of the Philippines. This will help get 5G up and running faster in the area.

Nokia’s advanced IPAA+ is small, light, and made of separate parts. It covers all 5G frequency bands in one antenna, even the 2.6 GHz band.

You can be sure that your investments are safe because Nokia’s IPAA+ can naturally support other bands. They will help Globe Telecom speed up and simplify the launch of 4G and 5G networks. They will also improve network performance and efficiency and give a faster return on investment.

It can be hard for service providers to find extra room on towers and roofs to put 5G antennas. Nokia’s IPAA+ solves this hardware problem, which speeds up the rollout of 5G. Nokia’s new IPAA+ is about the same size and weight as a regular multiband antenna. It makes setting up 5G networks easier and faster for service providers; all they have to do is change out the antennas.

By putting the 4G passive and 5G active antennas together in a small package, site rental costs could go down and it would be easier to get sites.

Nokia and Globe’s tech team also tried out a version of the IPAA+ that was made just for Globe Telecom and worked well in the field.

Globe Telecom was the first company in the world to properly test the 2.6 GHz IPAA+ variant. The test took place in Tantangan, South Cotabato, which is on the island of Mindanao.
