That’s how ASUS is marketing its new ROG Zephyrus DUO 15. The company continues to break boundaries when it comes to laptop machines. Introducing the dual-screen trend last year, ASUS is doing the same thing but adding gaming-capable specs and a more reliable second screen. Here’s how the price looks for different configurations:
As seen first on the Zenbook Pro Duo and Zenbook Duo, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 comes with two screens which one is configurable to the buyer’s liking. Starting with the main screen, ASUS is providing you two options — one for content creation and the other for gaming. For color accuracy, the 15.6″ can sport a 4K@60Hz panel that covers 100% Adobe RGB color space. For gamers, the 1080p resolution supports up to 300Hz for the smoothest gaming experience. As for the second screen, it’s a 14.1″ 60Hz touchscreen with a custom resolution of 3840 x 1100. Unlike the Zenbook Pro series, the Zephyrus Duo 15 lifts the screen at a 13-degree angle so you won’t have to extend your neck to see the content. Furthermore, ASUS said that it will also improve the airflow by drawing air from the gap. Â
The company clearly wants dual-screen to be a normal thing as it seeks support from other developers. Partnering with Adobe, Techland (producers of Dying Light2), League of Legends, Fortnite, and CS:GO, ASUS expects these companies to create a dedicated UI or apps for the dual-screen laptop. Â
When it comes to the specs and innards of Zephyrus Duo 15, it packs Intel’s new H-series processors and Nvidia’s new RTX 2000 Super Series GPUs. The combination is more than enough to provide desktop-class performance. Unfortunately, the prices for the 300Hz display variant weren’t revealed.
ASUS has announced that the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 will arrive in North America first around the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2020.
