AnTuTu, a benchmarking platform, recently released its ranking for the best performing Android flagship and mid-range smartphones in China for May 2022. Check them out!

In the flagship segment, the Black Shark 5 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, is still in the number one spot with an average score of 1,048,179. This was followed by the nubia Red Magic 7 Pro with 1,032,445 and the Lenovo Legion Y90 with 1,020,942 placed third.

Completing the list are the vivo X80 (1,013,9845), iQOO 9 (1,012,9310), iQOO 9 Pro (1,008,157), vivo X80 Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition (1,006,654), vivo X Note (997,514), vivo X80 Pro snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Edition (989,957), and finally the Motorola Edge X30 (984,181).

Still, the high-end list is being dominated by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 8 out of 10 smartphones on the list being powered by it. The vivo X80 and X80 Pro are the ones with the Dimensity 9000 processor on the list.

AnTuTu May 2022 Sub Flagship Android Ranking

Moving to the sub-flagship segment, the best performing smartphone in the same period is the vivo S15 Pro with an average score of 814,995, followed by the realme GT Neo 3 with 809,706, and the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ with 808,642. The three of them are equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chipset.

The list also includes the OPPO Reno8 Pro+ 5G, Redmi K50, OnePlus Ace, Redmi Note 11T Pro, OPPO K10 5G, vivo S15, and finally the iQOO Neo 6 SE.

The sub-flagship category is being dominated by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 chipset, which is made using a 5nm process and features four Cortex-A78 performance cores as well as four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

Lastly, the mid-range segment is home to the Snapdragon-powered smartphones. The best performing smartphone in the same period is still the iQOO Z5 with an average score of 577,190, followed by the Xiaomi Civi 1S, and the Honor 60 Pro.

Completing the list are the realme Q3s, OPPO Reno7 5G, Xiaomi 11, Honor 60, Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50, and finally the Huawei nova 9.

Only the OPPO Reno7 5G with the Dimensity 900 sports a different processor. The rest are powered by the Snapdragon 778G/778G Plus chipsets.
