According to a Samsung EU community, AndrewL, a forum moderator, the culprit behind this olfactory oddity lies in the S Pen’s proximity to internal components. Apparently, the stylus heats up while stored, emitting a scent reminiscent of “hot plastic,” akin to a sun-soaked car interior.
