A consumer rights advocacy group is urging the inclusion of two- and three-wheeled vehicles in a presidential order that grants tax breaks to E-Vehicles.

The EO is unfair because it only applies to cars with four wheels and covers only some working class, who use motorcycles, three-wheeled vehicles, and jeepneys for public transportation. Tax Breaks for E-Vehicles
The group said that changing the EO would also give the government a chance to let motorcycles stop using fossil fuels. The five-year zero-import-tax incentive will give people time to think about better, more eco-friendly options.
Experts have warned that motorcycles significantly cause air pollution, making up almost half of the 2.9 million registered vehicles in Metro Manila. This makes sense since motorcycles are popular because they are a cheap way for commuters to get around.
