We are back with another gaming review, and this time, we are testing the gaming performance of the realme 16T 5G. We tested six games to see how well the device can handle different types of titles, from competitive games to graphically demanding games.
To accurately track the FPS and temperature throughout our tests, we used a live tracker for reference.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
First on our list is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Our starting temperature was 36.8°C.
Most of the settings were set to High by default, so we increased everything to the highest available options to test the device’s performance.
On the home screen, we noticed some frame drops and stutters. However, once we got into an actual match, the performance became much more consistent.
The game ran smoothly without noticeable stutters or frame drops, even with multiple animations happening on screen. Team fights also remained smooth, and we never felt like the device was struggling to run the game.
Overall, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang ran well on the realme 16T 5G even with the settings maxed out.

League of Legends: Wild Rift
Next up is League of Legends: Wild Rift. Our starting temperature was 36.8°C.
The game was initially set to the Quality preset, so we switched to the custom settings and increased everything to the highest available options.
Like Mobile Legends, we noticed several lags and frame drops on the home screen. During actual gameplay, however, the game remained generally smooth. There were some minor delays in response time, but they were still manageable.
The FPS remained relatively consistent even during team fights, which helped maintain a playable experience despite the occasional delays.

Call of Duty: Mobile
Third on our list is Call of Duty: Mobile. Our starting temperature was 36.6°C.
For this test, we set the graphics to Low and paired it with the maximum available frame rate.
Once we got into the game, the overall performance was fairly smooth. There were still some noticeable frame drops and stutters, but these rarely happened during crucial gunfights.
We also experienced a significant FPS drop at certain points, although it did not have a major impact on the overall experience.
Despite these issues, we enjoyed playing Call of Duty: Mobile on the realme 16T 5G.

Asphalt Legends
Next up is Asphalt Legends. Our starting temperature was 37.5°C. We set the game to the High preset with the frame rate set to 60 FPS.
As soon as we entered a race, the performance was impressive. We barely noticed any performance issues during gameplay, while the graphics looked good and the controls remained responsive. There were no noticeable stutters or frame drops during our races.
However, we did notice some stutters and frame drops while navigating through the menus. These did not affect the actual racing experience.

Zenless Zone Zero
Now, we move on to more graphically demanding games. First is Zenless Zone Zero. Our starting temperature was 36.4°C.
We set the graphics to Low and the frame rate to 60 FPS to prioritize performance.
Even with the graphics set to Low, we immediately noticed performance issues once we entered the game. Combat performance was particularly poor, with frequent stutters and frame drops.
Since Zenless Zone Zero relies heavily on precise dodges and parries, these performance issues can make combat difficult, especially during more demanding encounters. We would not recommend the device for endgame content in this game. However, it should still be capable of handling simpler tasks such as daily activities.

- Temperature: from 36.4°C to 39.1°C after 10 minutes of gameplay
Wuthering Waves
Lastly, we tested Wuthering Waves. Our starting temperature was 39.5°C.
We set the graphics to the lowest available settings and paired them with a 60 FPS target.
Loading times were noticeably slow, and it took a while before we could get into the game. Once we started playing, combat performance was poor, with frequent frame drops and stutters. It was clear that the device was struggling to maintain the game.
We also noticed that some in-game assets failed to render properly during ultimates and other animations. Overworld exploration was somewhat smoother, particularly in the early regions, but the overall experience was still not ideal.
If Wuthering Waves is one of your main games, the realme 16T 5G would not be our recommended choice.

Verdict
Overall, the realme 16T 5G is not the best option for users who regularly play power-hungry games. It performs well with lighter competitive titles such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Asphalt Legends, while Call of Duty: Mobile and League of Legends: Wild Rift remain playable with some compromises.
However, the device struggles considerably with more graphically demanding games such as Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves.
If you are looking for a balanced device for everyday use with some casual gaming on the side, the realme 16T 5G is still worth considering. But for users who primarily play demanding titles, you may want to look at a more gaming-focused device.
