According to a recent report shared by 9to5Mac, Apple is diving headfirst into the world of foldable devices. Analyst Jeff Pu suggests that Apple will start making a 20.3-inch foldable gadget by the end of 2025, followed by a foldable iPhone in 2026.
This move seems like a fast-track from Apple’s previous plans. Earlier, it was hinted that Apple was brewing a 20.3-inch foldable MacBook, possibly hitting the shelves in 2027.
Another source mentioned a 20-inch hybrid device, possibly out in 2026 or 2027. And there’s buzz about a dual-screen foldable MacBook/iPad hybrid from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Now, Pu’s report indicates Apple is stepping on the gas with foldable devices, aiming for the luxury market. There’s talk of potential sizes for the foldable iPhone: 7.9 inches or 8.3 inches.
But here’s the thing, while Apple is catching up, other brands are already concepting rolling phone. Is Apple a little late to the party?
