The new Sony USB CA1 flash drives recently announced sport the latest USB Type-C interface with USB 3.1 speed (130Mbps write) as well as the current USB Type-A standard. The type-C is a fresh port that will become standard soon, replacing the bulky type-A port and sluggish micro-USB type-B we have in almost all laptops, computers, and in smartphones and tablets.
The latest devices sporting type-C interface are the new Windows 10 laptops, Apple MacBooks, Lenovo ZUK Z1, both Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, Lumia 950/XL, and other new devices.

Moreover on the Sony USB CA1, it will have three storage variants starting from 32GB up to 128GB. The design is sleek and slim, making it a compact storage solution with USB on-the-go feature. You can hot-connect it to an Android phone that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and later versions, provided that you have a downloaded and installed file browser app.

There is no official price yet but upon looking on the internet, both SanDisk and Kingston already released their USB 3.1-powered flash drives with a dual-connector combo of type-C and type-A for around $30 pricing for the 32GB.
Sony will release the new CA1 USB 3.1 series starting this February bundled with protective cases.
