Apple has been setting up a lot of changes on its wakes, one particular thing that got everyone’s attention is the removal of the 3.5mm jack on the upcoming iPhone 7, which they said would improve the next iPhone’s water-proof potential and capability. However, new reports indicate that they’re more changes to come on the next iPhones.

These new reports came in fresh from a Japanese newspaper called Nikkei and its suggests that Apple might be transitioning over from LCD to OLED display. This transition is expected to be applied by Apple on the 2017 iPhone 7S, which is still barely a thing yet. Â Apple has been using LCD’s as their primary displays since the original iPhone, so it’s pretty rare to see them hauling over to OLED.
It seems that Apple might be using OLED, because of the possibility of improving the future handset’s battery life and longevity and if that’s the case, it personally sounds like a good decision. However, as mentioned this might either be applied on the 2017 iPhone 7s or even 2018’s iPhone 8, so those who’re expecting the upcoming iPhone 7 to have this feature might have to wait a little bit more, not until the iPhone 7S is revealed anyway.
