Alcatel’s latest 8-inch tablet/smartphone is quite confusing in a good way, as it highly resembles a smartphone in a way that it uses a Windows 10 Mobile OS while being an 8-incher. The 8-incher Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 tablet/smartphone is recently introduced on the ongoing CES 2016 event and has seen its fair share of attention. Let’s dig in a bit deeper and check what can this new Alcatel tablet err, smartphone can offer.

As mentioned, the Pixi 3 runs on a Windows 10 Mobile OS, not a Windows 10 OS, so practically speaking, we might be seeing an 8-incher smartphone, however, it has a few more tablet characteristics that made us think twice. For the camera, it holds a tablet standard 5MP/2MP sensor combination, a Snapdragon 210 SoC and 1GB of RAM. It is marketed as a tablet so we can highly say that this is a tablet, which is pretty interesting since it runs on a mobile OS. It’s safe to assume that the device, despite carrying low-end specs should entice some people, however, it’s confusing enough that some may sway away from the OneTouch Pixi 3.
