So, people could use their wide smartphone screens to their advantage. But TikTok has yet to say when the full-screen mode will come out.
The full-screen mode on TikTok points to a possible way to compete with YouTube. In the new version of TikTok, for example, you can record live streams.
So, the platform shows content that lasts more than a few seconds. Also, users could send digital gifts of money to their favorite streamers.
It’s like YouTube super chats, but there are a few more steps. These are messages from users that go to the top of chat threads and give a certain amount of money to the person who made the content.
On the other hand, if TikTok users buy TikTok Coins with real money, they can start sharing TikTok Gifts.
Then, they could buy gifts with TikTok Coins. Once the Gift is given to the influencer, that person could turn it into real money.
People can also put dislikes on videos in the app to say more about what they think about the content.
This feature gets people to use the app more and makes it more likely that they will watch ads and buy TikTok Gifts. So the platform could continue to make money.
Users can also make more money with TikTok by linking their accounts to third-party stores. So, the platform helps small businesses market their goods and services.
But one of the new things about it limits how it can be used in politics. In response to the last US midterm elections, Tiktok stopped all political fundraising.
Government officials had to prove who they were on their accounts and only share information from reliable sources.
TikTok also doesn’t let them pool money for their campaigns in the Creator Fund, and they couldn’t send gifts, give tips, or buy things online.
