In a recent update, Microsoft has added FPS Boost in five popular video games on their new Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. These games are Far Cry 4, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Sniper Elite 4, UFC 4, and Watch Dogs 2.
Just as the name suggests, it will boost the frames per second anywhere from twice to four times. So, for example, UFC 4 can now run at 60fps while New Super Lucky’s Tale will run at 120fps.
The beauty of the FPS Boost, the game doesn’t need any updates from its respective developers. The game will run on its original frame rate while the FPS will do the rest when it comes to delivering a higher one.
The Xbox Team is also bringing a new menu named Compatibility Options that would support games in which gamers can also toggle the FPS Boost option and Auto HDR on and off.
