There will be a major Windows 10 update coming. This was said in a blog post by John Cable, the Vice President, Program Management, Window Servicing, and Delivery.
As stated in the post, the 21H1 update will focus on improving security, remote access, and quality. This mainly focuses on Windows 10 to allow external webcams to use as the default for Windows Hello facial authentication. This is useful especially to computers in which an external webcam is needed unlike laptops with built-in Windows Hello webcams.
Another update is on Windows Defender that updates its Application Guard’s speed performance. Also, Defender will be optimizing documents when opening them. For those who have experienced having trouble opening a Microsoft Defender Application Guard Office document, don’t worry, this issue has been taken care of.
And since mostly everyone is switching from office to work remotely, a performance update will be given out for Windows Management Instrumentation Group Policy Service.
Updates will be given out soon while users who participated in the Beta Insider program are eligible to download the 21H1 update, as long as they have opted in.
