LG may be struggling to keep its mobile division competitive on the global market, but that doesn’t mean the company is out of the game. In South Korea, the company’s home country, it’s still one of the leaders in mobile innovation. And while Samsung did outdo them with folding and flip phones, LG is apparently doing something else when it comes to dual-screen devices. Seemingly thinking outside the box, LG Wing, as confirmed to be released on September 14, is basically a dual-phone with a swiveling screen to boot.
For a unique phone, LG has done a great job of keeping its dual-screen device behind the curtain. The first video, leaked a week before the official launch, shows the device in car mode. The top or main screen acts as the navigation map, while the bottom or secondary screen serves as the music player interface. Now for this kind of implementation, having another screen on top of another, you might think that it would make the phone thick. Thanks to another leaked video, thickness doesn’t seem to be a problem. Though thicker than a regular slab, LG Wing looks impressively thin for what it is.

We’re not sure how the phone works, but seeing that the secondary screen is only half of the main screen, we think LG is trying to provide a new way to use a phone horizontally. As for the specs, according to veteran leakster Evan Blass, LG Wing will feature triple-cameras, 5G support, and several colors.
