Budget phones are becoming more and more in demand as they have gaming power at a much cheaper price. But with the rise of these smartphones, they come with typical characteristics. Most are hefty, thicker, and with lower resolutions. It is because of the budget range that these phones have, the usual production value. But Tecno Camon 16 is something to look for if you want to have a budget phone with unique and useful features with almost the same price and specs compared to the famous brands.
And at the price of P7,999 here are the Top 5 Features of the Tecno Camon 16.

Bigger Memory
Unlike other phones with the price range, this phone offers you a larger ram and bigger storage. With 6GB of ram and 128GB of internal storage. Budget phones used to have at least 2-4GB of ram that feels pretty much acceptable at 4GB. 6GB of ram makes more room to store apps in the background making the Tecno Camon 16 more sufficient. The best thing is that when gaming, you can store lots of heavy-duty games, as they have a big chunk of files. The 128GB storage is more than enough.
Bright and Impressive Camera
How I thought that the G70 can only support 1080p recording but, I am amazed that the Tecno Camon 16 can record video clips up to 2K resolution of 1440p@30fps. It output good quality clips without any stutters and jiggles. Meanwhile, the 48MP Quad Rear Camera also has a nice setup of cameras with Penta LED flash on the rear and dual-LED flash on the front to ensure quality photos even at night.
But what’s impressive is that it can capture Super night view 2.0 in low light and portrait. Colors are still visible with balance and brighter output at every angle. The colors are vibrant and the Tecno Camon 16 does its job for the price despite the low light situation.
Not to mention there are quite useful features in its camera such as; 18 AI Scene Recognition, Slow Motion up to 240fps, Video Beautification, Video Bokeh, Eye Focus, Ultra Night Portrait, Animoki, Pro Mode, and AI Beauty.

Budget Gaming Chipset
We cannot deny the fact that Helio G70 is a powerful entry-level chipset. Mediatek G series is now the trend in gaming-focused machines and Tecno Camon 16 is equipped with this more budget-friendly but powerful chipset. What’s more impressive–Mediatek Helio G70 has a HyperEngine Game Optimization to boost your gaming experience and deliver non-stop action.
With its Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU that is clocked at 820Mhz, it delivered satisfaction to our gaming experience even at high-quality settings. Benchmark results also did show great numbers.

Gaming Features
With its HIOS 7.0 running on top of the Android 10.0, Tecno Camon 16 offers reliable features that may be seen in higher phones. Just like the Smart Panel 2.0, and Gesture control for answering calls. However what I really impressed with is the gaming features such as:
Magic Key – this allows the volume rocker to be mapped and enables certain controls such as firing in FPS games. It Is quite good, responsive, and not distracting at all.
MOBA Game – this feature allows to draw game resources based on the quality chosen; quality priority, equilibrium mode, and smooth mode.
Screen hanging mode – the device will enter a similar mode to power saving. The brightness of the screen will be tuned down while the game is still running. Much reliable for auto-combat mode games. This feature will not eat the 5000mAh juice fast, even charging it using the 18W quick charging, the charging performance is still stable.
Floating messages – This feature is pretty straightforward–while gaming, it will project messages/notifications and will hover across the screen horizontally without any interruption.
Design and Security
With almost all budget phones are still in dewdrop notch, Tecno Camon 16 is already in a punch-hole cutout housing a high 16MP selfie camera with Samsung RGB SSK3P9 Sensor. The design is sleek the texture of the back is glossy and it doesn’t look plastic at first glance.

As for security, it has protection against unwanted and unsafe files within the device. It also has a fingerprint scanner and face unlock and on the test of its accuracy, it is really trustworthy.
Overall
For the price of P7,990 (6GB+128GB), all of the features I found in the Tecno Camon 16 are really impressive and unique. They are pretty rare and the overall phone somehow offers value more than its price. Even there are so many phones in the competition. Tecno did really separate their phone to the market. If you’re eyeing alternatives and cheap products, Tecno Camon 16 is worthy of attention.
