In the midst of One UI 5, Samsung launched its open beta program on Sunday for the Galaxy S22 series—Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra—which is now in beta testing. Initially, the U.S., Germany, and South Korea will have the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Additional regional releases are planned in the coming months as well.
Considering Samsung’s new firmware update policy, the company’s recent flagships, Galaxy S, Z, and Tab S, will all receive four major OS updates. In comparison, most other Galaxy devices will get three major OS updates.
Here is a list of Samsung smartphones and tablets that are expected to receive the new One UI 5 based on Android 13, which improves these devices’ customization, security, and accessibility.

In addition to improving customization, security, and accessibility, Samsung highlighted several key features of One UI 5. Regarding customization, there are 16 new wallpaper-based color theme presets users can use, and widgets can now be stacked to create a scrollable pageview, so users can have a more tailored look and feel.
With One UI 5, security and privacy issues will be detected, and recommended fixes will be provided. Reorganized menus will make accessing all ringtone volumes and vibration intensities settings easy.
As well as adding tips and tricks about how to use camera Pro modes, how to use lenses and controls, and a responsive zoom bar for easy one-handed camera navigation, One UI 5 will add more features.
According to Samsung, the next version of One UI will have more ‘exciting’ features. Keep an eye out for our updates!
