Exynos 9 Series 8895
Teased just a few days ago, Samsung officially takes the curtain off its new Exynos 9 Series 8895 chip, which will likely run the Galaxy S8.
Built on the newest 10nm FinFET process, the Exynos 9 Series 8895 chip allows up to 27% higher performance while consuming 40% less power compared to 14nm process.
Just like the Snapdragon 835, the 8895 chip packs Gigabit LTE network that supports “5G”, in which is expected to activate anytime in 2017.

Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 carries an octa-core processor comprising of four of Samsung’s 2ndgeneration CPU cores in addition to four Cortex®-A53 cores.
The Mali™-G71 GPU enhances 4K UHD VR and gaming experience and also allows for video recording and playback at a maximum resolution of 4K UHD at 120fps.
In all likelihood, US customers might get the Snapdragon 835 on their Galaxy S8 while other regions might have Samsung’s proprietary chipset.
