*as of 7/10/2020 – Samsung Galaxy A21s is available for purchase nationwide at authorized concept stores and retailers.
While Samsung’s in-house Exynos chipsets have been criticized for being inferior to Snapdragon counterparts, the largest smartphone brand in the world is shifting its efforts towards power efficiency as it introduces the first Exynos 850 phone — meet the Galaxy A21s. The mid-range phone was actually announced last month, so you can read everything you want to know about its specs and features. A report claims that the A21s will launch on July 10 (together with A11) with an SRP of P11,990. Furthermore, it’ll be offered in four colors — Black, White, Blue, and Red.
To provide you an insight on the Exynos 850, the chipset is based on 8nm process node thus making it power efficient. It uses Mali-G52 for processing graphics. According to Geekbench, the A21s scored 183 and 1074 for single-core and multi-score, respectively. Surprisingly, that’s lower than Realme C3 with Helio G70. But as mentioned, the Exynos 850 is a chipset made to last you an entire day or two without needing to charge. If you’re not a gamer, the Galaxy A21s might be worth considering.
