On Sunday, February 12, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reported that the respective public telecommunication entities (PTEs) had registered nearly 19% of all SIM cards in the country.
Based on information from phone companies, the DICT said that as of 11:59 p.m. on February 12, 32,062,265 SIM cards had been registered. This is 18.97% of the 168.977 million SIM cards in the country.
Globe Telecom Inc. had 13.132 million SIM cards, which was 14.94% of its 87.873 million subscribers. DITO Telecommunity Corp. had 2.452 million SIM cards, which was 18.71% of its 13.108 million subscribers. Registration of SIM Card
Under the SIM Card Registration Act, all PTEs must set up registration platforms that allow users with valid ID cards to sign up.

Since then, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has told them to tell the NTC about any problems users had while registering.
