At this point, we already know McLaren left OnePlus, leaving the smartphone company with no special edition phones centered around motor racing cars. Then, we reported last December about a Realme phone sporting the logo of McLaren, suggesting the British brand partnering with Realme to release the presumed Realme Race. Several weeks after that, we now have almost the full spec sheet of the upcoming phone. And, spoiler alert; it’s going to be really fast.

According to the leaked spec sheet, Realme Race Pro looks to introduce the fastest smartphone display. At the moment, ASUS ROG Phone 3 has the crown, thanks to the 144Hz display. As for the upcoming phone, it’s going to use up to 160Hz. What’s more, it’s of FHD+ OLED in a large 6.8″ canvass.

McLaren Might Have Left OnePlus to Release Realme Race Special Edition

Aside from the screen, Realme Race Pro also looks to take the fastest charging phone crown. The charger is apparently listed to support up to a whopping 125W! We’ve seen the technology introduced last year, but we’re about to see it on a commercial product for the first time. And yes, Realme didn’t skimp out on capacity as there’s 5000mAh for that.

As for the rest of the specs, Realme Race Pro is going to use Snapdragon 888 with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It’s also interesting to see the cameras that there will be one 64MP sensor on the back, joined by two 13MP lenses. We’re pretty confident the other is for ultrawide, with the other 13MP for telephoto or portrait.

Realme Race Pro is going to be an interesting device to see. Hopefully, the price isn’t going high as fast as its specs.

  1. Technically, McLaren didn’t leave, since Realme and OnePlus are sister brands owned by BBK Electronics, which also owns Oppo and Vivo.
