NVIDIA’s RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti are about to face their match! AMD has recently announced in their “Where Gaming Begins: Ep. 3” event the Radeon RX 6700 XT and even revealed its specifications.
The Radeon RX 6700 XT will be able to optimize at 1440p resolution. This also packs 12GB of GDDR6 memory and runs at a speed of 2.321GHz up to 2.582GHz. It also has 40 compute units, 160 texture units, and 2560 stream processors. Gamers would at least need a 650W power supply due to its GPU drawing about 230W. Also, AMD stated that gamers would expect 212fps in Overwatch, 272fps in League of Legends, and 360fps in Rainbow Six: Siege, exceeding expectations especially players in eSports.
With numbers provided by AMD, this might compare and even go beyond the parameters of that of NVIDIA’s RTX 3070. Also, this GPU supports the Smart Access Memory (also known as Resizable BAR). This was recently launched by NVIDIA’s new range of RTX 30 graphic cards.
We can expect the RX 6700 XT on March 18, 2021, with a starting price of $479 (PHP23,274 est.) which makes it between the prices of RTX 3070 ($500) and RTX 3060 Ti ($400). Customers would not have to worry about the shortage of stocks for AMD, in an interview with The Verge, said that “with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT launch, we are on track to have significantly more GPUs available for sale at launch.” Also, the company assured that stocks for the RX 6000 GPUs and Ryzen 5000 CPUs will be replenished every week on its website where AMD is planning to sell the items individually at retail price.
