It’s been leaked and teased countless times but it’s finally official — Realme has unveiled the Realme X50 Pro 5G in India with a flagship killing price tag at INR 37,999 (~P27K). The 8GB/128GB costs INR 39,999(~P28K) while the 12GB/256GB top model is selling for INR 44,999(~P32K). All converted prices are before taxes, so expect them to go higher when the device reaches Philippine shores. Coming in Moss Green and Rust Red colors, Realme X50 Pro 5G is already available to purchase on Flipkart and Realme’s India website.
There are several main key features for X50 Pro 5G, aside from the moniker itself. First, the 6.4″ screen makes use of FHD+ Super AMOLED with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It may not be as fast as Samsung Galaxy S20 but it’s on par with OnePlus 7T Pro. Furthermore, the screen is HDR10 compliant. There’s a pill-shaped cutout on the top-left corner of the screen which houses Sony IMX616 32MP f/2.5 and 8MP ultrawide f2.2 sensors. Second, there are four rear cameras with the 64MP f1.8 being the main sensor. The rest includes a 12MP telephoto lens that provides up to 20x hybrid zoom, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP portrait/depth lens. Third, Realme is introducing SuperDart fast charging technology. The 65W-powered charging brick can fill the 4200mAH battery from zero to full in just 35 minutes. Furthermore, the device also supports 18W QC charger, USB PD, and 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge charger.
Some interesting specs to take note of are Realme UI based on Android 10, 5G capability thanks to Snapdragon 865, vapor chamber cooling system, stereo speakers, audio jack, and Wi-Fi 6. We’re not sure when the X50 Pro 5G will arrive in the Philippines, but Realme did confirm that it’s working with local telcos to brings its 5G smartphone.
