We’re back with another gaming review, and today we’re testing the gaming performance of the HONOR X7e.
It took us a couple of days to finish this review because of the device’s limited storage, but we still got it!
Keep on reading to learn more.
First up is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. We will be playing using the highest available graphics settings.

During our testing, we encountered some slowdowns and occasional freeze frames on the home screen. However, once we entered a match, gameplay was smooth even during team fights. While the device performed well overall, it wasn’t able to maintain a consistent 60 FPS throughout the game.

FPS Results: 55 to 60 FPS
Temperature: 39.6°C (after 10 minutes of gameplay)
Next is League of Legends: Wild Rift. We used the Custom preset with Medium graphics and 120 FPS enabled.

There were some freeze frames and slow loading times on the home screen. Once inside a match, gameplay became much smoother, with stable frame rates during both exploration and team fights. We did notice a slight delay in the controls despite having a low ping, but overall, the game remained playable.

FPS Results: 54 to 60 FPS
Temperature: 39.6°C (after 12 minutes of gameplay)
For Call of Duty: Mobile, we selected Low graphics with the Max frame rate option.

The home screen felt a bit sluggish due to the visual clutter, but in-game performance was noticeably better. While we experienced occasional frame drops and minor stutters during matches, they weren’t too distracting. Unfortunately, the device never reached the 60 FPS mark.

FPS Results: 28 to 36 FPS
Temperature: 41.0°C (after 10 minutes of gameplay)
Next is Asphalt Legends. We played using the High graphics preset with 60 FPS enabled.

Although we experienced some slowdowns while navigating the menus, the actual races ran smoothly. The controls felt responsive, the visuals looked good, and we didn’t encounter any major performance issues during gameplay.

FPS Results: 45 to 54 FPS
Temperature: 41.1°C (after 15 minutes of gameplay)

Moving on to Genshin Impact, we used the Lowest graphics settings with 60 FPS enabled.
The game took several hours to install, download its assets, and compile shaders before we could start playing. During gameplay, there were noticeable frame drops while exploring the open world. However, the game remained playable, including during our Spiral Abyss test. While it isn’t the ideal device for Genshin Impact, it should be sufficient for completing daily activities.

FPS Results: 25 to 38 FPS
Temperature: 38.8°C (after 10 minutes of gameplay)
Lastly, we tested Wuthering Waves using the Lowest graphics settings with 60 FPS enabled.

The game took nearly an entire day to finish downloading its assets and compiling shaders. Once we started playing, the performance was extremely poor. We experienced constant frame drops, heavy stuttering, long loading times, and missing character models. Even at the lowest settings, the game was barely playable, making it difficult to recommend on this device.

FPS Results: 0 to 10 FPS
Temperature: 42.9°C (after 12 minutes of gameplay)
Overall, the HONOR X7e is capable of handling casual games, but it is not an ideal gaming smartphone. It performs well enough for lighter titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Asphalt Legends, but struggles with more demanding games such as Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.
Combined with its limited storage, the overall gaming experience falls short compared to similarly priced devices.
