We’re back with a new HONOR device in our hands, the HONOR X7e. Today, we’re using it as our daily driver, and here are our thoughts after spending some time with it.
Let’s start with the design. The HONOR X7e offers a simple yet clean-looking design that resembles the iPhone 17, thanks to its oval-shaped camera module.

While it’s comfortable enough to use with one hand when scrolling through social media, typing can feel a bit challenging, which is common for phones with this form factor, especially in the budget segment.
If you’re coming from an upper-mid-range smartphone, you’ll also notice the difference in build quality, particularly in the device’s weight and overall feel.
Moving on to the display, the HONOR X7e features a 6.61-inch TFT LCD panel. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,010-nit peak brightness, but it only comes with an HD+ resolution, which is a bit disappointing.

In our experience, however, the display was still decent for everyday use. Whether we were browsing social media, watching videos, or playing games, the screen delivered a satisfactory viewing experience.
Outdoor visibility is also acceptable, although details begin to fade under direct sunlight.

That said, many smartphones in this price range already offer Full HD+ displays, whether they’re priced below or above PHP10,000. The HONOR X7e would have provided better overall value if it had been equipped with a higher-resolution panel.
The phone features a 50MP main camera paired with an auxiliary lens, while the front houses a 5MP selfie camera.
Starting with the rear camera, image quality is decent. Photos offer a good amount of detail with respectable sharpness, and HDR processing does a good job of preserving highlights in bright scenes.
In low-light conditions, the camera is able to brighten images, but photos tend to look soft and lose a significant amount of detail. Night photography is also one of its weaker points, as strong lens flare can appear around light sources, sometimes resulting in images with very little visible detail.
As for the front camera, selfie quality is below average. Images can easily become overexposed, while facial details often appear soft, especially in challenging lighting conditions.
For video recording, both the rear and front cameras are limited to 1080p at 30fps.
The HONOR X7e is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra processor. Our review unit comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

One of the first things we noticed after setting up the device was that it occasionally experienced slowdowns while navigating the interface.
There were moments when the phone responded a bit slowly or had slight delays, although this didn’t happen consistently.

For social media browsing and other everyday tasks, the phone performs well enough without major issues. If you’re someone who mainly plays Mobile Legends, the HONOR X7e is a decent option for casual gaming. We’ll also be releasing a dedicated gaming review soon, so stay tuned for that.
Benchmark Results:
The HONOR X7e packs a massive 7,500mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging. During our PCMark Battery Test, the device lasted around 18 hours from 100% down to 20%.

In daily use, as casual users, it took us about two days to drain the battery with an average screen-on time of around five to six hours. If battery life is your top priority, the HONOR X7e definitely delivers.
As for pricing, the HONOR X7e is available in the Philippines for PHP14,999.

Overall, the HONOR X7e is a decent secondary or backup smartphone. It offers excellent battery life and a capable chipset for everyday tasks such as social media, messaging, video streaming, and light gaming.
While the HD+ display is a missed opportunity at this price point, it remains a reliable device for users who prioritize battery life over premium features.
