Google has released Android 17 QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release) Beta 8 for supported Pixel devices. The update focuses on fixing bugs and improving system stability ahead of the stable release.
In Beta 8, Google fixed an issue that caused loud static and distorted audio during media playback and notifications.
It also resolved problems with the Pixel Tablet Speaker Dock, NFC tags not working properly, and fingerprint unlock failing to start on some devices.
Google also noted that Android 17 QPR1 reached Platform Stability in Beta 6. This means the platform is now finalized, allowing developers to prepare their apps before the stable release.
