The company says this is more than double what it was a year ago, as it works harder to protect its fiber network from illegal content, such as images of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC).

The 350,000 blocked URLs are addresses related to different types of cybercrime, such as OSAEC, illegal online gambling, phishing/banking, terrorism, and voyeurism.

Based on the company’s network data, in 2022, Converge blocked 150% more sites than it did in 2021, when it stopped about 100,000 web addresses from its broadband network.
