BYD Cars Philippines has officially launched the BYD Atto 2 subcompact SUV in the country.
The Atto 2 comes in both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid (DM-i) models, with the latter also available in premium and dynamic variants.
The BEV variant features a 45.12 kWh Blade Battery with up to a 380 km range, a 0–100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds, and a 160 km/h top speed. It supports 7 kW AC charging, completing a 0-to-100% charge in 7.4 hours, as well as 65 kW DC fast charging that takes the battery from 10 to 80% in 24 minutes.
Meanwhile, the DM-i hybrid (Dynamic and Premium variants) runs on BYD’s Super DM-i plug-in hybrid technology and signature Blade Battery. It delivers up to 45 km of all-electric range and a certified total combined range of up to 1,340 km (based on Automobile Association of the Philippines testing). Battery charging is handled via a Type 2 AC charger (up to 3.3 kW), taking it from 15% to 100% in 2 hours.
Inside, the Atto 2 sports a modern layout with ergonomic seating for five passengers. It also comes with an 8.8-inch instrument cluster and a central touchscreen display (either a 12.8-inch screen on the BEV models or a 10.1-inch screen on the DM-i variants). Standard across all variants is BYD’s DiLink infotainment system, featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, 4G connectivity, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a six-speaker audio setup with voice control.
In terms of interior materials, the DM-i Dynamic features durable fabric seats with soft-touch interior trim, while the DM-i Premium and EV Premium variants upgrade the cabin to synthetic leather upholstery with a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Automatic climate control comes standard across all models with PM2.5 air filtration and dedicated rear vents. For storage, cargo capacity starts at 433 liters behind the rear seats and expands to 1,335 liters with the 60:40 split rear bench folded flat.
Standard convenience features include Smart Entry with Keyless Start, NFC card key access, push-button start, and USB ports for both front and rear passengers.
Exterior design is incorporated by a protective black cladding, sculpted side bodywork, and a full-LED headlamp pair with a closed-off grille on the EV variant, while the DM-i models incorporate functional cooling channels.
The Atto 2 measures 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall, with a 2,620 mm wheelbase. It provides a 150 mm laden ground clearance and an 11-meter turning circle for easy maneuvering.
The Dynamic and EV Premium variants ride on 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/65 R16 tires, while the DM-i Premium gets larger 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with 215/60 R17 rubber.
Safety features center on the DiPilot ADAS, which includes a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and collision warning systems.
Available colors include Breeze Green (EV exclusive), Cosmos Black (DM-i exclusive), Harbour Grey, Midnight Blue, and Ski White.
All purchases include an 8-year drive unit warranty, 6-year/160,000 km bumper-to-bumper coverage, and 8-year/160,000 km Blade Battery protection.
