The Xperia Z5 is something to look at, all in all, since we practically got a roundabout with the device and gave it a pretty decent count on our review. However, we tried to look at the Xperia Z5 and thought of a few changes the Sony initiated that was present to the Z3+ and how Sony improved or changed it, either degrading or upgrading a particular feature, so in regards to that, we figured, we’ll provide you guys with four seen differences of the Xperia Z5 to the Z3+.
Table of Contents
An overall change in body structure
At first glance, this is probably the most noticeable difference on both Xperia devices. The improved exterior structure on the Xperia Z5, by ways of adding up metal, instead of the usual polycarbonate glassy back cover of the Xperia Z3+. The Xperia Z5 also received a hefty increase in the body size department, with the Xperia Z5 possessing a 7.3mm thickness and a heavier 154g weight, which can be seen as rather unfitting, since, we would rather have a more thinner and lighter device on our side than a heavier and thicker one, since, obviously it’ll increase the device’s handling ten fold and would eventually be more favourable to us.

The fingerprint sensor feature
The added new feature for the Xperia Z5 is none other than the fingerprint sensor, a very security-wise feature that the Xperia Z3+ couldn’t have access yet, a few months ago. This might be a major factor, which can affect a buyer’s decision in purchasing a specific Z-series Xperia phone, since a newly attached feature, such as the fingerprint sensor might bring about more interest for the security-concern and overall new Sony device buyers. This gives way to the Xperia Z5’s advantage over the Z3+, in terms of persuading potential buyers, since it has the beginner’s luck in the market.

Improved camera sensors
The Xperia Z5 more obvious advantage over its predecessor is its amazing 23MP rear shooter, which is hailed to be the world’s current best in the industry. Truth be told, camera shooting isn’t necessarily the strong point of the Xperia Z3+, which it received a hefty amount of criticisms. And in compensation of that, Sony took their A-game, when they introduced the highly capable Z5 in the market, with a beastly camera sensor, which simply proved that Sony is now pushover in the camera department and they’re highly capable of equipping their devices with high-end equipments and add-ons.

A relatively smaller battery capacity
The Xperia Z5 has a relatively smaller battery capacity, in comparison to the Xperia Z3+, however, Sony did promise that the Xperia Z5 will still carry the 2-day battery feature that was featured with the Xperia Z3+, however by the looks of things, this minor change on the battery capacity won’t exactly play out any huge factor in the battery consumption and charging capability of Z5, based on our little battery test on both Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact.Â

Conclusion
Both devices has certain upgrades and downgrades that fit them better in the field, however, the Xperia Z5 and Z3+ are relatively good at their own right and are always a good take on the Sony Xperia Z-series.
