Table of Contents
Similarities in display
Truth be told ,the Xperia Z5’s display wasn’t necessarily been changed, in fact, it didn’t change period. With the Xperia Z5 and Z3+ both possessing a 5.2-inch Triluminos display, with a little bit alteration to the FHD part. Though, truth be told, the changes aren’t exactly that noticeable, or if you could considered that a change. Sony might have not bothered to focus on display, since the Z3+ already delivered a decent performance in display, which is relatively true, so a very consistent display feature and quality was kept for its newer Xperia Z5.

A similarity in hardware
For hardware, the Xperia Z5 and Z3+ aren’t far off with each other. Both Xperia Z devices packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, which is good, but has received a few criticisms on the heating issues. The devices also carries a similar Adreno 430 graphics, which sets, both device in a very consistent path towards a better hardware system. They’re even running on the same processors, with the GHz speeds, which is amazing, though, since the Z3+ isn’t exactly that old, its understandable for Sony to keep as much of the Z3+’s system on the Z5 as possible, since, technically the Z3+ is a very strong phone overall.

A similar software in hand
Both are carrying the Android Lollipop version in the arsenal, with the only difference is that the Xperia Z5 is currently carrying a 5.1 Lollipop, while the Xperia Z3+ is carrying a entry version of 5.0 Lollipop, which isn’t much in change. Both devices are expected to be consistent in dishing out a few system experiences, which is relatively good, since both devices are respectfully powerful and reminiscent of the older Z-series’ of Sony.

A similar software path
Both the Xperia Z5 and the Z3+ are expected to receive an immediate update to the Marshmallow version, which will heightened the overall software experience on both devices. This upgrade is yet to be given a particular date, or whom of these devices will receive the update first, though it is expected that both devices, as well as the listed Sony devices for the Marshmallow update are to receive it simultaneously, which is good, since you can enjoy either your Z5 or Z3+ to the fullest, when this latest update start to roll out.
