We recently posted an article regarding the five similarities of the Xperia Z5 trio and upon getting up close and personal to two of the trio, we can safely say, we figured out a few differences between the Z5 trio. In regards to that, we’re to provide you with four differences of the Xperia Z5 trio.
Table of Contents
The difference in display capability
This is probably one of the most obvious differences of the three. Technically, this is a very understandable and legitimate differences, for smartphone variants are mainly differentiating in screen size and resolution. With that though, as seen on our Z5 VS Z5 Compact comparison, it seems that they still have the capability to adapt, however, we might see a huge difference on the 4K UHD display of the premium, which is highly expected. Since we haven’t gotten close with an Xperia Z5 Premium yet (the only Premium we got our hands on was on Sony’s official event) we can’t say that the 4K UHD might be something of a huge difference between the trio, however, based on numbers, the 4K UHD of the Z5 Premium is a huge difference between the Z5 trio, giving the Xperia Z5 Premium, the cream of the crop advantage.

Body size
Another difference is body size, this is another difference that is quite common for variants, since handset variants are often made into different sizes, such as how the original Z5 and Z5 Premium shows off a bigger physical structure than the petite Z5 Compact. Body-wise though, the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium has a pretty standard body structure in which the Xperia Z5 is relatively thinner and lighter, though a small difference in thickness is seen between the two, with the 7.3mm thickness of the Z5 and the 7.6mm thickness of the Z5 Premium, though, statistically these are differences.

Battery capacity
From our Z5 and Z5 Compact comparison, we were able to determine that their differences in battery capacity does matter, with the Xperia Z5 surpassing the Xperia Z5 Compact in battery longevity. However, since we haven’t gotten our hands with a premium yet, we still haven’t got a clue, whether the Xperia Z5 will surpass both its siblings in battery longevity, since, number-wise, the Xperia Z5 Premium has the largest battery capacity of the three. However, we were able to determine that capacity does matter, and we might see a huge differences in battery longevity, as soon as we can get the Z5 Premium in action

Different range of hue variants
Its surprising to know that the Xperia Z5 trio has no pattern for their color variants, with some of their color palette missing from certain variants, while others have certain color variants that are not available for the others. A good example of this is the green variant of the Xperia Z5, which is color palette that is not available for the other Z5 brands. A minor differences, might color palette might actually play a decisive role in a buyer’s purchasing decision.
