Although Mi 11 has taken the spot of Mi 10 as Xiaomi’s flagship phone, the company is still keeping the 2020 series alive this year, and the latest phone to back up that statement is the Xiaomi Mi 10S. Available for as low as CNY3299(~Php24,600) in China, the new high-end device borrows the outfit of the Mi 10 Ultra and the specs of the Mi 10 5G while adding a few key features that make it an enticing purchase for those who want a near-flagship experience.
For starters, there’s a quad-camera setup on the back featuring a 108MP f1/7 sensor OIS, alongside 13MP ultrawide and a pair of 2MP lenses for macro and depth purposes — all that housed in an elongated camera module like the Mi 10 Ultra. The punch hole is also using a 20MP selfie camera, though the 6.67″ AMOLED is with a 90Hz refresh rate, covered in Gorilla Glass 5, as well as the back. Xiaomi claims the Mi 10S can get really bright, up to 1120 nits peak.
Albeit no headphone jack, Xiaomi Mi 10S is carrying Harmon Kardon-tuned 360-degree speakers. Luckily though, the battery is rated 4780mAh like the Mi 10 and supports 33W fast charging. What’s more, Xiaomi included 30W wireless charging on an affordable high-end phone. If that’s not enough, there’s 10W reverse wireless charging as well.
The biggest change on the Mi 10S — if you’re coming from the Mi 10 or Mi 10 Ultra — is the Snapdragon 870 chipset. It’s also paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB non-expandable storage.
The Mi 10S is on sale in China starting March 12th, along with a free 30W wireless charger, among others. Xiaomi is pricing it at CNY3299(~Php24,600), CNY3499(~Php26,100), and CNY3799(~Php28,300) for the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, respectively. There’s no information yet regarding a global release.
