In the first month of 2022, they released one of their mid-range smartphones, the vivo V23 5G. On the other hand, vivo’s V21s 5G was also released in November, which is also a mid-ranger. Design & Display
If we talk about its design and construction, vivo V21s will be your favorite with its unique gradient-colored design with available colors Dusk Blue and Gradient. At the same time, the V23 has a color-changing back panel with two variant colors: Sunshine Gold and Stardust Black.
When it comes to their displays, these two smartphones are almost identical. They both have the same 6.44-inch AMOLED displays with a 90Hz refresh rate. The V23 has the advantage of having a higher resolution and Schott Xensation Up glass protection.
So in terms of design and display, the vivo V23 takes the crown. Now, let us move to their cameras and audio quality.
Camera & Speakers
As for the camera, it’s up to you what you choose because both sides have different advantages. They have the same triple-camera setup led by a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro sensors. As for the selfie camera, the V23 has a dual design with a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, while the V21s have a decent 44MP selfie camera. The advantage of the V21s in this part is that it can record video with 4K resolution and 60fps video. I will leave it up to you which of the two is more winning for you.
Both of these have standard audio loudspeakers, but they don’t have a 3.5mm audio jack.
OS, RAM & Storage
Both devices have the same Android 12 with Funtouch 12 OS. But since the V23 is newer, we can expect it to have a higher chipset. The vivo V23 has a MediaTek Dimensity 920 while the V21s have a lower MediaTek Dimensity 800U. The V23 has a 6nm lower and 7.14% faster clock speed than the V21s’ Dimensity 800U. The V23 also has higher ram and storage options, as it has 8+128GB and 12+256GB storage variants, while the V21s have 8+128GB available. So if we talk about the specs, it cannot be denied that vivo V23 has the advantage.
Battery
In terms of battery, the vivo V23 takes the lead for having a 4200mAh of battery paired with a 44W rapid charging. While on the other side has a lower 4000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Price & Availability
The vivo V23 5G is available nationwide, costing Php27,999 for the 12+256GB model. At the same time, the vivo V21s have a price of $380 or Php21,230 but are still unavailable in the Philippines.
