Vine Officially Makes a Comeback as Divine

Divine

Vine is having a comeback with a new name called diVine.

It’s a six-second video platform funded by Jack Dorsey’s nonprofit collective, And Other Stuff. Dorsey, the co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, which originally shut down Vine in January 2017, is now helping back this revival-style project.

Vine keeps its looping format, similar branding, and a focus on short, creative clips.

diVine also secured access to more than 100,000 archived Vine videos, giving users a way to revisit classic content from the original platform.

Original creators still own their content and can request removal through DMCA if needed.

According to the project, diVine is built on decentralized technology and will not allow AI-generated content.

The team behind the app includes former Vine staff, aiming to preserve the original spirit of the service while updating it for today’s users.

diVine Availability

As of now, the beta test group for iOS is already full. According to their website, 10,000 people signed up within a couple of hours. The team is currently waiting on Apple and Google to approve the app store release.

Interested users can also try it on Divine Web as well.
