Sony has officially introduced the Sony RX1R III, the latest compact full-frame camera in its RX1R series.
It features a 61MP Exmor R CMOS sensor, the BIONZ XR processor, and a fixed ZEISS 35mm F2 lens.
The sensor skips the optical low-pass filter and uses an anti-reflective coating to capture sharper images with less noise and better dynamic range.
The lens remains the same as in previous RX1 models and is optimized for the new sensor.

Autofocus is powered by an AI processor that can track eyes, faces, heads, and bodies, even when the face isn’t visible.
The Sony RX1R III also includes 693 phase-detection points covering 78% of the frame, working in both photo and video modes.
A new Step Crop Shooting feature lets users instantly switch between 35mm, 50mm, and 70mm framing. For close-ups, the macro mode allows shooting from 20 cm with up to 0.26x magnification.

There are 12 Creative Look profiles built in, including two new ones, FL2 for soft, nostalgic tones and FL3 for brighter, more vivid colors.
It also includes a 2.36M-dot OLED viewfinder with 0.70x magnification. The camera uses a standard NP-FW50 battery with up to 300 shots per charge and features USB-C for fast charging and external power.

Now for the price, the Sony RX1R III will be available this month for around EUR4,900 (approx. PHP325,999).
Optional accessories arriving in September include the TG-2 thumb grip (280 euros), LCS-RXL body case (180 euros), and LHP-1 lens hood.
