Yesterday, Facebook page “Digital Banks PH Updates” shared that SeaBank, a rising digital bank in the Philippines owned by Sea Ltd, the parent company of the e-commerce platform Shopee, is soon releasing a card with no numbers at all.

Filipinos showed their excitement over this news, expressing that this is a great way to have more secure cards.

What is SeaBank?

SeaBank is BSP-regulated and PDIC-insured up to P500k per depositor. If you’re interested in starting your saving journey, you can open an account easily via your Shopee Accounts or simply download the app on the App Store, Huawei Gallery, or Google Play.

Others admired SeaBank for offering a higher interest rate per annum, which is given on a daily basis, compared to traditional banks, and for offering 15 free money transfers and free cash-in as well!

Some of the benefits of using the numberless card would be earning cashback on all purchases, local and international ATM withdrawals, no fees on foreign conversion, and global acceptance. So not only is this more secure, but it’s also more convenient.

According to rumors, some SeaBank employees have already received their numberless card. As for regular bank holders, they are expected to receive their cards next year. However, this information has not been officially announced yet. Additionally, the card comes with free local withdrawals per month at BDO ATMs with a Master logo and any BPI in-branch ATM.

Stay tuned for future updates on the official release of the numberless SeaBank Card in the Philippines. Will you be getting your own soon? Let us know!
