Free BPI to GCash Money Transfer

Understandably, whenever there is something free, we feel giddy and never back down from the opportunity. This is probably due to the price hikes and inflation on-going. Fortunately, BPI to GCash offers free money transfer transactions! 

As they are mainly popular and widely known in the country, you are in luck if you utilize both services! Regardless of the purpose, you likely use these to transfer funds between them. There are, of course, transaction fees associated when sending money between different systems.

You can transfer your finances from BPI to GCash by two different methods. The first step can be done through the BPI Mobile app, and the second can be done through the GCash app directly.

How to enroll a BPI account on GCash

Your BPI account must first be linked to your GCash account. Tap the Cash In option in your GCash app. 

The second step is to tap on “BPI” under the banking section of the app.

 Click on the “Enroll Now” button at the bottom of the screen.

Input your BPI Mobile account username and password to access your account.

You will receive a confirmation code that your BPI registration was successful through your email.

How to transfer money from BPI to GCash via BPI Mobile

Sign in to your BPI account in your app. Click the menu icon. 

Then tap “Payments/Load” and select “Load e-Wallet.” 

As you proceed with the third step, you must tap on “Load from” and choose the BPI account you wish to transfer money from.

The fourth step is to tap the list icon in the “Load to” section and select GCash as the destination. 

Once you have entered the GCash mobile number into the “Reference Number” section, it will prompt you to enter the loading amount.

Additionally, you can add a note if that is what you wish to do, but adding a message is not required. Once done, tap Next.

Ensure all the details are correct by tapping “Confirm.” To approve, enter your mobile key, tap submit, and done.

How to transfer money from GCash to BPI?

To get started, open the GCash app. Select “Cash In” from the dashboard. 

The second step is to tap on BPI under the My Linked Account section. 

Log-in to your BPI Account.

Enter the amount. Then tap “Confirm.” Then tap “Send Code.” which can be located in the upper right part of the app.  

Fill out the one-time password (OTP) sent to your mobile number. Once that’s done, tap Submit.

Note: There is still a transaction fee to be paid by the recipient when transferring funds from GCash to BPI.
