Together with POCO M3, Samsung launched the Galaxy M02 for the market of India. The new phone is another cheap entrant aimed at budget-conscious consumers. It won’t deliver any impressive specs for the price, but if you need a backup or a phone for your kid, this may be the one to get.
Samsung Galaxy M02 is a 6.5″ device with a PLS IPS HD+ display. There’s a thick bezel at the bottom, but there’s an Infinity-U notch up top for the 5MP selfie camera. At the back, there’s a pair of sensors for the 13MP and 2MP cameras, though the latter is using a macro lens. The battery is rated 5000mAh, which should be enough to last until two days with conservative use, but still charges via micro USB at 10W.
Perhaps, the most interesting feature of the Galaxy M02 is the design on the back. The polycarbonate-clad phone comes in black, gray, blue, and red colors, however, the finish is of textured pattern to make the phone easy to grip.
Samsung Galaxy M02 is available for purchase in India for now. It costs INR6,999(~Php4,600) for the 2GB/32GB model, while the 3GB/32GB variant is yet to be priced.
