This time it’s no rumor; Samsung Galaxy F62 with Galaxy Note 10 chipset and largest battery capacity is now official in India. The new device has been rumored for quite some time now and has generated buzz due to its unique offering. It may be sporting an old flagship chipset, but it’s still a powerful chip that beats most of the newer ones when it comes to features and graphics processing. The Galaxy F62 starts at Rs 23,999(~Php15,800) only for the 6GB/128GB model and goes up to Rs 25,999(~Php17,500) for the 8GB/128GB. It’s available via Flipkart starting February 22.
Samsung Galaxy F62 is almost as big as the Galaxy S21 Ultra at 6.7″ diagonal. The display features the company’s Infinity-O display, highlighting a sAMOLED+ FHD+ panel and 32MP selfie snapper. Interestingly, the panel offers 420nits peak, which is a bit low by today’s standards, and the fingerprint scanner is embedded on the power button. Nevertheless, it’s still an accurate panel.
At the core of the Galaxy F62 is the Exynos 9825 from the Galaxy Note 10 Series. The chip is about to turn two years old by August 2021 but still proves plenty capable when paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. And yes, there’s 5G support as well. Though there’s no S-pen support, the headphone jack is back. On the back are four cameras — 64MP + 12MP ultrawide + 5MP macro + 5MP depth.Â
Lastly, the Galaxy F62 boasts a 7000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. Due to the massive battery size, the device clocks in at 9.5mm thick. Managing it is going to be a task for those with smaller hands.
