Aside from the addition of a plus model, another radical change in the Note lineup in 2019 is the design. Thanks to an extended display, the bezels are nearly gone. And in exchange for a dual-selfie cutout on the S10 Series, Samsung used a single selfie sensor in a form of a centered pinhole camera. The Bixby button is now replaced by a power button, however, a long press will still bring up Samsung’s digital assistant. And as expected, RIP headphone jack. Yes, the box doesn’t include a dongle for it but there’s an AKG USB Type-C headphone included.
There’s a noticeable difference in size and heftiness between the two super flagships. The Note 10 weighs like the very light S10, while the Note 10+ weighs like the heavy Note 9. As for the colors, the standard model comes in black, white, pink, red, and Auro Glow (iridescent rainbow hue). While the plus model has a special blue color sans the pink and red.

One of the new software improvements on the Note 10 series is the S-pen. Samsung added air motion to the pen by adding a couple of sensors. Which means you can do swipe left/right, twirl left/right, and go up/down to control the screen. Also, air actions is now vertically placed when taking out the S-pen. While the availability of the functionality varies per app, Samsung is allowing developers to add this feature to third-party apps. Samsung Dex gets an interesting feature, too. Thru a single cable, you can connect the device to a laptop to use it as a screen (provided you have Dex installed on your laptop).
In terms of the camera, there are three main sensors on both devices — 16MP ultrawide, 12MP f1.5-f2.4 wide, and 12MP telephoto. The Note 10+ has a 4th sensor called DepthVision camera. It exclusively enables 3D scanner (via Bixby Vision) and Quick Measure features. Aside from the fact that you can record videos with the ultrawide sensor, there’s a zoom-in mic feature that picks up the sound of the subject as you zoom in.
Last but not least is charging. Finally, Samsung upgraded its fast adaptive charging for the Note 10 Series. Both devices can go up to 25W wired charging, but the Note 10+ can go up to 45W if you’re willing to buy that very fast charger. While wireless charging is now improved to 15W via the company’s Wireless Charger Stand or Charger Duo Pad, as well as other 15W wireless chargers.
Both Note 10 and Note 10+ will come with their own 5G models. In the US, the Note 10+ 5G will be sold thru Verizon starting at $1,299.99 or nearly P70k. While the standard Note 10 5G will start at $1049 or nearly P55k.
