According to industry sources, realme 8 and realme 8 Pro is going to be announced sometime in March 2021. This is in line with the company’s 6-month cycle of the series, with the realme 7 launching back in September 2020. Next month, the realme 6 Series will turn one year old. Though the 7 wasn’t as popular as the 6, the 7 Pro continues to be aggressive on the market thanks to its AMOLED screen and 65W fast charger.
Other than the launch date of the realme 8 Series, specs and features remain scarce. However, a Geekbench listing last year with the model number RMX3092 has been speculated to be the realme 8, if not the 8 Pro. It revealed some of the key specs of the device, such as Dimensity 720 5G, 8GB RAM, and Android 10. Given that it was still running on outdated software, we might see another listing soon with Android 11 instead.
As for the rest of the rumors, 65W fast charging is expected to come back, though we can’t say for sure if it’s at the expense of a fast refresh rate.
