Samsung has launched in India two new phones for the F-series. This will be the Samsung Galaxy F12, a rebranded Galaxy M12, and the Samsung Galaxy F02s, also a rebranded version of the Galaxy M02s.
Both phones will be sporting a 6.5-inch PLS IPS screen while the F12 will feature a 90Hz refresh rate. When it comes to chipsets, the Galaxy F12 will be using the Exynos 850 processor and would be paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage with a microSD slot. The F02s, on the other hand, will use a Snapdragon 450 SoC chipset coupled with a 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage that has also a microSD slot.
For its cameras, the Galaxy F12 will sport four rear cameras and one selfie cam. This will be a 48MP wide cam for the main, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and two 2MP for macro and depth sensors. As for its selfie cam, it features an 8MP wide camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F02s will have a total of three rear cameras and one frontal cam. The main shooter for its rear is 13MP supported by two 2MP for macro and depth. For its main frontal cam, it offers 13MP.
The Galaxy F12 is supported by a 6,000mAh battery capacity that comes with a 15W fast charging. On the other hand, the F02s will come with a 5,000mAh capacity and has also a 15W fast charging support.
As for pricing goes, the Samsung Galaxy F12 will come in two storage configurations. The 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage is priced at INR 10,999 (PHP7,290 est.) and the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will be priced at INR 11,999 (PHP7,960 est.). The Samsung Galaxy F02s, will also come in two storage configurations. The 3GB and 32GB version is priced at INR 8,999 (PHP5,970 est.) while the 4GB and 64GB version will have a price tag of INR 9,999 (PHP6,630 est.). The Samsung Galaxy F12 will be on sale on April 12 while the Samsung Galaxy F02s will go on sale on an earlier date, April 9. There is no news on when smartphones will be available for international retailers.
